These fully faceted beads are cut in a Marquise shape from some of the biggest pieces of Iolite that we we've seen for a long time. The color is also the excellent blue-violet to blue-grey that is so sought after in this gemstone. While much of this stock is fairly clear, the size of the pieces make it easy to see that Iolite often has internal 'lines' in the crystal structure. It is possible that the drilled hole that goes across the tip of the bead may not be exactly level - please account for this possibility in your design. Sold by carat, sizes are given for reference; size ranges overlap because some drops are thinner/thicker than others.

These fully faceted Apatite beads are cut in a Marquise shape. While much of this stock is fairly clear (for Apatite), you will see some internal 'lines' in the crystal structure and occasional tiny black inclusions. It is possible that the drilled hole that goes across the tip of the bead may not be exactly level - please account for this possibility in your design. Due to the small size of these drops, expect that the hole size will also be small (they were strung on 0.3mm material when we received them). Sold by carat, sizes are given for reference; size ranges overlap because some drops are thinner/thicker than others.

It is possible that the drilled hole that goes across the tip of the bead may not be exactly level - please account for this possibility in your design. Sold by carat, sizes are given for reference; size ranges overlap because some drops are thinner/thicker than others.

Remaining stock has been discounted for condition, one or more of the following may occur: obvious black inclusions or cloudy spots within the gemstone, 'lines' where crystal formation changes is obvious or can be felt on the surface of the bead. Sizes range from 9.5-12mm long, carat weights between 2.2 to 3.5 carats. Original price was $4.25 to 6.75.

This is an unusual cut - in an unusual gemstone. Marquis cut beads are about 15x7mm and are drilled across one point, front and back faces are slightly domed. While these beads are rather smooth, you will occasionally find a very tiny pocket in the stone, due to the way that the natural gemstone is formed. These beads have been discounted for condition and/or color - please see the picture for typical colors. Also note that beads may not be drilled straight across the top (as shown) or may be slightly rough at one of the tips. Original price was $1.60
