These India glass bead mixes feature specialized finishes that add depth and texture to the glass beads. Our Luster, Opalized and Matte beads are amoung the most popular India mixes that we carry.

If you order these bulk mixes at the 10 package price break, you may get your beads in the large bags that come directly from the overseas vendor. These bags may contain a small amount of broken or otherwise unusable beads (we do not open them). The individual 50 and 100 gram bags are packaged by Beaded Impressions - we make an effort to cull the broken or mis-formed beads, but you still may find an occasional unusable bead in the bags.

A shiny collection of color coordinated beads, Rose Luster Mix will be one of your new favorites! All beads have the same lusterous surface, but appear in all shades of Rose, from very pale to almost red. You'll find several sizes of heart beads in this mix, as well as rounds, bicones, rectangles, barrels and even a few flower shapes. Bead sizes range from 6-15mm; Hole sizes for this mix are about 1-1.6mm. The beads are packaged 100 grams per bag (about 160 beads).

Availability:
These are Luster Mix beads in colors, sizes and shapes with a luster finish with a type of AB or rainbow coloring over that. There are some familiar looking Czech style shapes in this mix too. They usually measure from 4mm to 15mm with an occasional larger bead. They come 100 grams beads per bag (200 plus) by the kilogram (about 2.2 lbs).

Availability:
The unifying factor in this group of beads is the "opal" glass used in the beads. This mix is full of soft colors: pale pinks and peach, creamy whites, minty greens and whispy blues. Some beads will be a single color, but most have some other type of interest added: surface swirls of other colors, adventurine, lampwork dots, surface trails, etc. A few beads look transparent at first glance, but the colored cores of the beads contain opalized glass and adventurine swirls. Bead sizes range from 8-15mm; Hole sizes for this mix are about 1.2-2mm. The beads are packaged 100 grams per bag (about 60 beads).

Opalized Glass Necklace
Opalized Glass Necklace Project The Opalized Glass Mix, sold above, is great for making jewelry, as demonstrated by this necklace. In addition to focal beads and spacer beads found in the mix, this piece uses Copper finish Rope Heishes, Silver finish Rope Heishes, and Large Brass-lined Seed Beads (sizes 6/0 and 1/0).
A Note Regarding Bulk India Glass Mix Beads
India glass often appears 'dusty' - this greyish material is 'kiln release' or 'kiln wash'. It is a material that is used to allow the beads to slip off of the wire that they are formed on in the process of manufacturing. Just rinse your beads in a colander or a piece of cloth to remove the remaining 'dust'.
