These are the semi-precious Sunstone smooth, faceted, and carved beads we currently have in stock. Sunstone is a naturally occuring gemstone found in India and in the state of Oregon, among other places. Don't confuse this with man-made Goldstone! It's unique feature is a deep golden-orange sparkle that comes from the depths of the stone. Geologists call this gemstone "Aventurine Feldspar".

new product Sunstone aficionados will love these beads! Great base color and lots of golden sparkle can be found in these beads (even more than shows up in the picture). The cut of the beads is typical of hand cut beads, so expect a bit of shape or faceting irregularity. Beads range in size between 4.1 and 4.5mm in diameter, strung on 14.5" strands.

new product Natural Sunstone has been formed into smooth oval beads with a nice level of base color and orange "flash". Sunstone fractures fairly easily, so you will see a few beads on your strand that are broken, oddly shaped or badly drilled. You also will see beads that have colored inclusions. Beads can range from 6-9mm long and are 5-6mm wide. Strands are about 14.5 inches in length.
